Belvin Ann Blanton was born September 20, 1938, to the late Boyd and Vantha Lynch. She entered into eternal rest on October 4th, 2022. She was a native of Rutherford County.
She joined Mathew Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church at an early age where she was a member for many years. She was also a member of the Mathew Chapel Choir. She later became a member of the Living Word Independent Ministry in Spindle North Carolina where she was considered one of the mothers of the church. She worked for over 20 years at Sunnyside Rest home as a nurse's aide where she cared for many of the elderly patients there. In her later retirement years, the majority of her time was spent helping to raise and care for her many grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, James Robbie Blanton, brothers Boyd “Jr.” Lynch, Benny Ray Lynch, and George Harrison Lynch, sister Enola Adams, and her loving sister-in-law Ruth Toms.
She leaves to cherish fond memories her two daughters: Brenda (Harmon) King of Union Mills, Gwendolyn Batchelor of the home. Three sons: Rev. Richard (Paula) Blanton of Greenhill, North Carolina; Carlos Blanton of the home and Eric (Jennifer) Blanton of Greenhill, North Carolina. Three brothers: John William Lynch, Marvin (Maggie) Lynch, and Melvin Lynch all of Greenhill, North Carolina. Six grandchildren: Whitney (William) Cleveland of Greenville, South Carolina; Adrian Harmon King of Union Mills, North Carolina; Beth and India Blanton of Rutherfordton, NC; Bentley and Lynken Blanton of Greenhill, North Carolina; special great great niece Ajustis Ledbetter, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at New Vernon Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 1:00PM.
