Brandon Oliver Logan, Sr. was born November 25, 1950, in Spindale, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Rickmon Garfield Logan and Rebecca Lee Logan. He was one of nine children. Survivors include three older siblings: Bernard Logan, Iris Hickman, and Rickmon D. Logan. Two younger siblings; Daisy Hoyle and Sike W. Logan. He was preceded in death by three siblings: Joyce, Joan, and Conrade Logan.
Brandon graduated from Carver High School in 1968 and completed his associate degree in auto mechanics at Isothermal Community College in 1970. He also served his Country in the Vietnam War.
Brandon is a retiree of the Rutherfordton Public Works Department and Lakeside Mills. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, driving up to the Blue Ridge Parkway, motorcycle riding, grilling, watching sports, and working on automobiles. He was affectionally referred to as “Super Dad” by his children. He had a quiet spirit, but his loving actions towards his family and those in need always spoke loudly.
Until the end, he was a disciplined man who did everything with intentionality and detail, having the welfare of his family in mind, especially his children and grandchildren. He is sorely missed, but we know the legacy and impact of his life lives on through his generations.
He is survived by his four children: Carolyn Nichole Pugh (Sy Pugh), Brandon Oliver Logan Jr. (Lasaunda Logan), Tolly Janice Logan, and Rickmon Oliver Logan (Andrea Logan). Ten grandchildren; Malik, Tenice, Sydney, Aidan, Gabriel, Isaiah, Nicholes, Benjamin, Isabella, and Jayden, as well as two great grandchildren, Iris and Unity Rose.
