Alfred Lee Simpson

Alfred Lee Simpson, Age 76 was a lifelong resident of Tryon, NC. He departed this life for eternity on Jan. 4, 2026, at Hospice of the Foothills in Landrum SC. 

Alfred was born January 30, 1949, to the late Susie Mae Simpson and Walter Suber. He was the third child born of four children: Bobby Eugene Simpson, Eunice Simpson Whitmore, and Katherine Simpson Littlejohn. Alfred (AL) accepted Christ and was a member of Garrison Chapel Baptist Church. 

 
Alfred was educated in the Tryon NC and Landrum, SC School System where he was active in football and band. Alfred worked in the industrial engineering industry for many years before he was forced to retire due to injury. He enjoyed fishing, fast cars, and had a zest for fashion.

 
Alfred is survived by his wife of 45 years Sybil Simpson. In addition, he leaves to cherish his fond memories Genease Hannon (Jamal), Melvin Godlock, Melody Kinnell (Jason), Alfred Miller (Karlynn), Kevin Goodlett (Ina), Sonya Simpson (Ron), Stepdaughter Melita Sutton, 27 Grand Children, 90 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Simpson also leaves a special friend, Michael Jackson. He was proceeded in death by his stepson Tremaine Sutton.

Services will be held at Garrison Chapel on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 1:00 P.M.
