Annie Lewis Jackson, affectionately known as "Franma," was born on April 10. 1960, and departed from this life on October 7. 2024. Annie was the beloved daughter of the late Grover and Sis. Gladys Logan.
She graduated from RS Central High School in 1979 and subsequently attended Isothermal Community College. Her career began at Fairfield Mountains, and she later found employment with Stonecutter Mills.
Annie earned the cherished title of "Franma" from her grandchildren, whom she loved and adored wholeheartedly. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children and grandchildren. Among her family, she is fondly remembered for her renowned meatloaf and slaw.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and one grandchild. She was married to James Jackson. She is survived by her children: Brandi (Chris) Jackson of Forest City, NC; Brittany Logan of Spindale, NC. Raven Logan of Rutherfordton, NC; and RaShad Logan of Lake Lure, NC.
Additionally, she leaves behind her grandchildren: Jayla Freeman, Ovana Logan. Ayden Jackson, and Jayden Logan, along with two very special grandchildren, Akira Edgerton and Memphis Carson. Annie is also survived by her siblings: Geraldine (David) Allen of Fletcher, NC; Ricky (Penny) Logan and Ray (Michelle) Logan, both of Lake Lure, NC: Christine Hines of Spindale, NC: and Morgan (Denise) Logan of Shelby, NC. She is further survived by two sisters-in-law. Sheila Logan of Shelby, NC. and Pam Logan of Forest City, NC. as well as a host of nieces. nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will cherish her memory.
Services will take place at Thompson Mortuary & Chapel on Friday October 11 at 1 PM. Receiving of friends will take place before the service at 12pm.
