Cammie Watkins

Cammie Denise Watkins was born March 16 th ,1963 in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. A few years after graduation, Cammie married Joe Nathan Watkins in September 1985. She was the daughter of Lula Mae Price and the late Donald Price. She was the Granddaughter of the late James and Margaret Price and the late Alfred and Mary Lou Mapp. Cammie was also preceded in death by her Nephew Devin Price and her Aunt Dr. Cinda McKinney. Cammie departed this life to Her Heavenly Home on May 27, 2024. She joined New Bethel Independent Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Legusta Jackson. When Cammie was younger, she sang in the Choir. 

Cammie attended R-S Central High School from which she graduated in 1981. She later went to work at Tryon Estates. She was a faithful CNA there for many, many years. She was very devoted to her Residents and loved them all. Cammie was also loved by her Residents, their Families and the Staff of Tryon Estates
as well. Cammie leaves to cherish Her memories to her Husband, Joe Nathan Watkins of the home, Her Mother Lula Mae Price, of Forest City, NC, one Sister, Dana Price of Forest City, NC, one Brother-in- Law Craig (Tammy) Watkins, of Forest City, NC, her Aunts, Shiann Perry of Halifax, Virgina, Mary Lois McKinney and Geneva Baker of Forest City, NC, Regina Mapp of Inman, SC and Her Uncle Alfred Mapp of Spindale, NC and a host of cousins, family and friends.

Services will be held at New Bethel Independent Church on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 1:00PM.
