Darryl Mayes Proctor (62)

Darryl Mayes Proctor, age 62, was born on March 1, 1962, and passed away on February 17, 2025, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved son of Hattie Proctor and the late Charlie Proctor Sr. 

Darryl is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Proctor, and eleven children: Darryl Proctor Jr. (Tiffany), Crystal Hollis (Anthony), Cody Proctor (Tonya), La’Monda Thompson (Gazz), Maxston Lindsay, La’Keija Phillips (Joshua), La’Tesha Allen (Terrance), Darris Proctor (Khalilah), Tia Proctor, Daveion Flack, and Shailah Proctor. He also leaves behind two brothers, Charlie Proctor Jr. (Carol) and Gerald Proctor (Gwen); three sisters, Renee Foster (Paul), Debbie Holcombe, and Pastors Tracie Fowler (Michael); as well as 43 grandchildren who will continue to honor his legacy.

Darryl was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Proctor, sister, Shirley Bush, and brother, Randell Proctor.

A homegoing celebration to honor the memory of Darryl will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2:00 PM at White Hall Independent Methodist Church in Inman, SC. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday at 4:00 PM at Thompson Mortuary and Chapel in Forest City, NC.

Darryl’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be dearly missed.

Services will be held at White Hall Independent Methodist Church on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 2:00PM.
