Linda McCord

Linda Faye McCord was born November 18, 1946 to the late Clyde Alderman and Betty Beatrice Alderman Whittington of Mt Airy, NC. She was raised by the late Eddie Lee Douglas and Jamie Smith Douglas. She departed this life on May 28, 2024 at her home. 

She was proceeded in death by her twin, Brenda Douglas, A brother; Billy G Alderman, half-brother; Bruce A Whittington, Brenda Alderman Littlejohn, Betty Joe Alderman Anderson. 

Linda was a graduate of Carver Highschool in Spindale, NC. She was a member of Gold Hill Baptist Church. She worked at Til-mar textiles as a supervisor, Daniel construction in Shelby NC, and Mays nursing home in Forest City, NC.

Linda was a caring and loving person. She loved her children and was a loving sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. Left to cherish her loving memories are five sons and one daughter, Calvin Douglas, Jerome Douglas (Saadia), Derrick Crews, Diane Crews, Kenneth Crews (Marion), Robert Crews (Nicole).

To say Linda will be missed is an understatement, but we thank God for blessing us with the time we had with her on this earth. 

 Services will be held at Gold Hill Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 12:00pm
