Walter Hamilton

Walter Henry Hamilton was born November 5, 1940, in Rutherford County, NC, to John Henry Miller and Roberta Hamilton Miller. Walt passed away on March 24, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Hospital, Spartanburg, SC. 

Walt was a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah U.C.O.G. He served in the United States Army for four years. He worked at Michelin Tire for 25 years and retired as a supervisor. 

Walt was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Fletcher Phillips, and Wyley Miller.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Rose Hamilton of Forest City, NC. Three daughters Buffy Cheek (Mike), Forest City, NC. Tara Hamilton, Forest City, NC, and Zandra Hamilton, Spartanburg, SC. One brother Windell Miller (Theresa), Chesnee, SC two sisters, Janice McDowell and Elora Miller both of Forest City, NC. Two grandchildren, Brandon Murray, and Dorian Phillips, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

 Services will be held at Mt. Pisgah U.C.O.G on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2:00pm
